Charles Paul Obituary

Charles Edward Paul left this world for a better place and on his own terms on March 26, 2023.

As a man of few words, nothing brought him more joy than the simple pleasures in life. Among his favorites were time with family & friends, sitting on the front porch & watching a storm roll in, and going to the hunting camp.

Those who knew Chuck well knew that underneath an occasionally abrasive nature, he was a kind individual who would do whatever he could to help someone in need. His brothers often referred to him as a rascal; his quirky humor will be missed by many.

Chuck enjoyed trying to create the tastiest chili and was eager to share recipes with those with an adventurous palate. As you read this, he is likely whipping up his favorites with family and friends who have passed on before him. Chuck is now with his high school sweetheart and wife of forty-two years, Evelyn (Eberle); his parents, William Hoagland Paul and Marilyn (Chamberlin); brother Delmar & his wife Linda (Junckett); sister Janice (Strowbridge); and his long-time friend and hunting companion Mike Noll.

Coming from a family with deep military roots, Chuck served in the United States Marine Corps. He was deployed on various ship expeditions and in Vietnam.

Chuck cherished the outdoors, sports, and marksmanship. It was a good day when he could participate in a trap tournament. The camaraderie he found within local gun clubs became like a second family to him.

Keeping Chuck's memory alive are his surviving siblings William and his wife Juanita, John and his wife Jo Ann, and sister Reba. Chuck's children and grandchildren include Cheryl and her son Charlie, Lisa and her daughter Alexis, & Charles and his wife, Christina.

Chuck never liked being the center of attention, and there will be no services per his wishes. However, his children are planning a celebration of his life in the upcoming months. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you acknowledge a Veteran and please consider donating to the Warrior Care Network.

Cheryl, Lisa and Chuckie, we were sorry to hear about your dad´s passing. From the day we moved in next door until he moved, he was a good neighbor. He stopped by the day we moved in to offer his help as well as the use of any tool in his garage or anything else we needed.
I always enjoyed a beer with him after mowing lawn in the summer.
Neighbors,
Wendy & Glenn Adam

So sorry to hear of Chucks passing. Our condolences. Chuck was my closest neighbor to our house. At that time there were only three houses in an eyes distance. How things change. Chuck wasted no time introducing himself to me and my wife when we moved in. Seems like years flew by watching Chucks family grow as well as mine. His house was one of my kids favorites stop offs at Halloween. Didn't hear much from Chuck after he moved away. He was a great guy with a great family! May he rest is peace!
