Christopher Rhudy Obituary
Christopher R. Rhudy, 26, of Topton, formerly of Macungie, died Nov. 4, 2009. He was the husband of Teal S. (Roberts) Rhudy. born in Allentown, he was a son of Robert L. Rhudy and Beth A. (Hertzog) Ruch. Chris was an arborist with Penns Woods. Survivors: Wife; parents; stepfather, Paul Ruch; brothers, Matthew B. and Robert C. Rhudy; stepbrothers, Matthew T. and Marcus T. Ruch; stepsister, Stefanie E. Ruch; maternal grandmother, jean W. Hertzog; paternal grandmother, Mary E. Rhudy. Services: memorial, 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the main room at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Visitation with the family will precede the services from 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Contributions: Easter Seals of Eastern Pennsylvania, 1501 Lehigh St., Allentown, Pa 18103.

It has been a very long time since I've come to this page. Looking through the kind words of sympathy and support over the years truly touches my heart. Today is my Mom's 2 month anniversary of her passing and I just want you to take extra care of her for me. Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind, my heart will always love you.

Mere words cannot express the grief we feel. However, we know that GOD has truly blessed us beyond measure.Chris wasn't with us long enough, but we are grateful for the short time that we were blessed with. Chris was a wonderful person, son, brother, cousin, friend--and the best nephew my husband and I could've ever asked for. We gained a beautiful niece when Chris married Teal. Though I did not know Chris, I know his grandmother Jean and I know how much she loved her grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. What a tragedy to lose a son who sounds from what I have read in the guest book, like a wonderful young man.

To the Rhudy Family-
Chris was a student in my room 208 kindergarten class in 1989, the first year the new Macungie Elementary School opened. He was a pleasure in the classroom - bright, inquisitive and very well behaved. He took pride in his work, being a serious student eager for learning, mastering whatever was placed before him. Students like that always stand out in a teacher's memory.
There is grief beyond measure at the unfulfilled potential of his career, life and family. The pain of your loss is shared by all who knew Christopher. Please accept my condolences. You'll be in my prayers.

Chris was the most caring, kind, wonderful friend. I wouldn't see him for years but then when I would finally see him it was like not a day went by - that huge smile of his... no matter how upset you were that smile was contagious! I am so deeply sorry for your loss, I can't even begin to imagine how you feel. I first met Chris this spring when he and Rick cut trees on my property. It was cold and rainy and still they plugged along. I was amazed at Chris's knowledge. He really knew his stuff. Always hard at work and yet always smiling and happy. My son, James, joined in working with them for a short time and always enjoyed working with Chris. He will certainly be missed. Again you have my deepest sympathy.

Teal, Beth and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am so glad I got to spend time with Chris when he was looking to buy his first house. I always looked forward to our showings and his take on things. He would give a full evaluation on what he would do if he would buy the home and I would look over at Teal and she would just shake her head. He always had a smile on his face and left the people that he touched smiling right with him. The last two days I have spoken to several people that knew Chris and everybody had the same words, he was full of life and what a great smile.
I will be out of town Sunday and will not be able to atend the services, but my prayers will be with all of you and I will be remembering that great smile.
