Joann, Krista & Steve: Joe Michael just stopped in my office here in the Allentown UC call center to tell me the sad news of Clem's passing. Although I did not know Clem for many years, I always enjoyed being in both his & Joann's company. I will always remember his command of the Polish language and his love for good food and drink. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I'm sorry that I didn't learn of his passing in time to be able to attend the viewing or funeral.

JoAnn & Family
I was truly saddened to learn of Clem's passing. Hearing his name caused a cascade of pleasant memories that go back many years. From racquetball at the Y (ouch), golf, Halupki Bowls, breakfast at he diner Clem always brought his special brand of humor and his unique outlook on the events of the day and the people involved. I feel truly diminished by the loss of this special YMCAer. My sympathies and condolences go out to you and your family.

Joanne,
I can't begin to tell you how much of a positive impact Clem had on my life. From my days as an athlete at Dieruff
when Clem was always in the middle of the action to our most recent conversations in my office about the business world, he always offered me sound big brother advice. I knew he always cared about my success and family happiness, as I felt the same for him. He was a great friend. Diane and I offer our most sincere sympathy to you, Krista and the rest of the family. Our prayers are with you.

As a former student/grad. of L.E.Dieruff I Carlos Rodriguez will never forget Mr. West. Mr.West brought humor and laughter to each and everyone at L.E.Dieruff. Mr. West was 1 of the coolest teachers you can talk to and joke around with. I wil not forget math class and how cool it was just to be in your classroom. Mr. West had the heart and passion to teach every student and still had time to tell a joke or two. You will be missed by everyone you taught and brought confort when you were here.. BIG GUY!!!! R.I.P..My condolences to the West Family..MR.WEST is still the "BEST".."TEACH"..R.I.P...

My sympathies to the West family. I am in the Dieruff Class of 1964 and knew Mr. West. What a great guy. As others have said, he was fun to be around, always witty and ready with something fun to say. When I would visit Dieruff in later years we had some wonderful chats. I am very saddened with his passing. My best to everyone.

Dear Jo-Ann and West Family,

Clem was surely one of kind in that he could make you laugh with his wit and make you cry when he would say the daily prayer at dinner. He was a sincere, passionate, generous man with a touch of craziness on top. A devoted family man who loved to talk about his grand kids and how much he loved you Jo-Ann. I will never forget him for the generosity and love he showed my family when we came to visit. It was as if we were part of the family. He had that sparkle in his eyes and smile that would light up any room with his presence, esp when he would laugh out loud. You knew Clem was in the house and the party is now getting started. He was alot of fun and always had a good story to tell. Our prayers are with you and the entire West Family during this difficult time. Take care of yourself and remember he is now in good hands and will forever be watching over all of you with that big smile and lots of love.

We Love You,
Charlie / Kelley Heimsoth and Family

Jo-Ann,
I am so sorry to hear of Clem's passing. Spending time with both of you was always a joy and your love for each other so evident. Hearing the stories of how you met over dinners of Clem's favorite pasta with pepperoni sauce was so much fun. I am sorry I hadn't visited much over the past year and wish now I had a chance to say goodbye. He was a true gentleman and an original.
god bless

Joanne, and family, My sister and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies on Clem's passing. When we both worked at Cuisine Management, many years ago, Clem would deliver his "juice" always with a smile on his face, and always with a fun story or two to tell us. I remember one time he even helped us flip burgers up at "The Grove" when we were short on help.

I'll never forget the kindness, and support you both gave me when my husband was terminally ill over 20 years ago. May you find comfort, and strength in your memories, and knowing that he is at peace. Sincerely, Kathy Gaal Getchell, and Mary Gaal
