Daniel G. Cronrath
Daniel G. Cronrath, 87, of Maxatawny, died November 17 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the widow of Lucy J. (Fisher) Cronrath. He was born in New Jerusalem, a son of the late Daniel H. and Edna (Delong) Cronrath. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a catcher for the minor league Mets and Pirates. He was an auctioneer for 50 years and was employed by Carpenter Technology as an inspector for 20 years before retiring. Survivors: Daughters, Jane Cronrath of Kempton, Pam Behm and Ann Conrad, both of Kutztown, Phyllis Galvan in North Carolina; sons, Daniel and Ivan, both of Kutztown, Jeff of Fleetwood, Allen and Pat, both of Hamburg, David of Bechtelsville; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Services: private. Interment, Maxatawny Union Cemetery. Arrangements, Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home Inc., Kutztown. Contributions: May be made to the Memorial Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 W. Main St., Kutztown.
