My sincere condolences to Derrik's family. Like many others, I knew Derrik when he worked at Western Electric, in their Bell Labs Fullerton office. He was a great guy - friendly, always polite, a quick smile, a great laugh, fun to be with. I was sorry to learn of his passing. Make the angels laugh, Derrik.

I am shocked to hear of Derrik's passing.
My sincere condolences to his family. He was very sweet and enjoyed life to the fullest. We met at Western Electric many years ago. He had a great smile and always made you laugh whether you wanted to or not. God must have needed another angel to liven things up in heaven . RIP my dear friend!

I had the honor to work with DERRIK for many years. After he move to Florida we remained great friends. Last talked with him a few weeks ago, always positive always there to make you smile! DERRIK you truly be missed!

I will always remember Derrik from our times @ ATT & the Bull & Bear. He was a loyal friend & always commanded respect for women no matter what the situation. RIP Carole Duffy

I can't believe he's gone. Skip and I just visited with him in February. I loved him like a brother and was a better person for knowing him. He had a laugh like no other and could be the life of any party. We will miss you my friend.

This is very sad news. I started working with Derrik at ATT in the mail room. We were pretty close during those years going out to lunch. We actually shot pool together at the old Jordan lanes. Derrik was a real person if there ever was one. His laughter was infectious. He was a real great guy and I can kick myself for not staying in touch with him. Rest in peace Derrik.
