A neighbor of mine, and I used his services when I just needed a general practitioner. A very Christian man who certainly wasn't in practice for the money. His charges were almost hard to believe.

Don Follmer was a good friend - I met him when I joined the Lehigh Valley Harmonizers in 1997, and sang with Don in the quartet "No Time Flat," along with John Tobin and Willem Hordijk. We knew the name was a misnomer for we often went flat together, but nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed singing together and performing for about 10 years throughout the Lehigh Valley. Many, many times we would appear for a performance and at the end, someone would come up to Don and greet Dr. Follmer. Seems everyone knew Dr. Follmer. As all quartets do, we finally disbanded, but we all had fond memories of our time singing together.
Don always was willing to do anything to help the chorus or quartet, and served in numerous support positions over the years with the chorus. Don was always cheerful, and always showed a positive attitude in everything he did. I, in fact all of us in the Harmonizers, will always think of Don with fond memories.

I only knew Don as Gampa Follmer. I have fond memories of hanging in his rec room at the house on Beverly Ave while my mom visited with Karen & Gama Follmer. Usually after a visit to his medical office. I looked forward to going to see his barbershop concerts every year. He was a kind and gentle person, and he will be missed.
