Dwight Gladfelter Obituary

Dwight L. Gladfelter Jr.
Dwight L. Gladfelter Jr., 58, of Watertown, Mass., died October 23, 2007, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. He was the husband of Jeanne Smith. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Eloise (Hartman) Gladfelter of Trumbauersville and the late Dwight Gladfelter. Survivors: Wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters Katharine Leigh and Anne Elizabeth, a grandson, Gabriel, and two brothers, Frederick and Eric. Dwight was a graduate of Quakertown Community High School, Bucks County Community College and Mississippi College with a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in social work. He was a social worker in the Boston, Mass. area for many years and recently retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Newtons in Newton Centre, Mass. Services: A celebration of Dwights life was held on Friday, October 26, at the Lutheran Church of the Newtons in Newton Centre, Mass. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 3, at Christ Union Cemetery, Trumbauersville. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.
