Dwight Towner Obituary
Dwight R. Towner, Jr., 36, of Kutztown, passed away Monday, September, 3, 2012 at his home. He and his wife Renee M. (Shively) Towner celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary in March. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Dwight R. Towner, Sr. and Constance (Mellon) Gombatz. Dwight was a graduate of the Concept School in Westtown and attended Grove City College. He was a self employed carpenter. Dwight was a member of First Baptist Church in Bethlehem. Dwight also enjoyed reading, camping, carving and spending time with his family. Survivors: His loving wife, Renee; parents; step-father, Kerry Gombatz; daughter, Grace Virginia-Alice Towner; son, Roland Dwight Towner; sister, Danielle of CA; father and mother-in-law Edward Jr. and Diane Shively; brother-in-law Edward Shively III. Services: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 3235 Linden Street, Bethlehem, where friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Dwight was a good guy. We laughed for hours at work. He was a quirky guy that was easy to joke with. We always had something funny going on.This is very sad for me to hear. I wasn't that close personally but the dwight i knew loved his wife and kids very much. I hope that means something at this sad time. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all.
