Edward Nederostek
Edward J. Nederostek, 81, of Fairview St., Cementon, Whitehall Twp., died early Wednesday morning in Hospice House of the VNA of St. Lukes, Bethlehem. Born in Cementon, he was a son to the late Andrew and Catherine (Kackmarick) Nederostek. Edward worked as an inspector for the Black and Decker Co., formerly General Electric Co., Allentown for over 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Northampton. Edward was a graduate of the former Whitehall High School, Hokendauqua. He earned his Eagle Scout in 1944. Edward was former scout master of Troop #54, BVM Church, Northampton, for many years. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. Edward was a life member of Laurel Volunteer Fire Co., Cementon. He was a member of American Legion Post #353, Northampton, Catholic War Veterans Post #454, Northampton, and Ranger Lake Rod & Gun Club, North Whitehall Twp. Survivors: Sisters, Katherine V. wife of Stephen Donchez of Bethlehem, Emma Herschman of Northampton; brothers, Michael and wife Anna of Whitehall, Jacob and wife Marie of Plymouth Meeting, Emil of Saratoga, Calif., Frederick and wife Margie of Northampton; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Eva Nederostek of Allentown and Marie Nederostek of Whitehall; brother-in-law, Charles Beidleman of Northampton. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Susie, and Elaine, brothers, Andrew, John and Bernard. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Saturday, Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 22nd and Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067. Call 8:30-9:30 Saturday, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067. Interment with military honors, Parish Cemetery, Cherryville Rd., Northampton. Contributions: Church Memorial Fund c/o funeral home.
