Elisabeth I. Pausinger, 77, of Allentown passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, January 5, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, homemaker, seamstress, and a superb cook. Better known as Liesel to friends and Oma to family. She celebrated her 54th wedding anniversary on September 25, 2008 with her husband Siegfried. She will be greatly missed by everyone to say the least. She was born in Liebau, Czechoslovakia. Survivors: Husband, Siegfried; sons, Barry and his wife Lisa, and Steven and his wife Mindy; grandchildren, Thorsten, Marcus, Kirstin and Karina; great-granddaughter, Mya; extended family, Hildegard Wetzel, Peggy Grim, Oscar Diegelmann, Ulrike Muller, Gustav and Hilde Pausinger, Harold and Thomas Pausinger, Gerd and Marianna Schulz, Rudi and Anni Schneeberger, Alfred and Lisa Dehler, Thorsten Pausinger, Wigbert Pausinger and Willy Wahl. Preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Lea Schon; sister, Christel Diegelmann; and extended family, Teresea Wahl, Josef Pausinger, Raymond Ruppel and Thomas Diegelmann. Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Call 8:45-9:15 a.m. Saturday, in the church. Inurnment in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home in Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn. Dearest Pausinger Family members, We were saddened by the news of Elisabeth's passing. How untimely and unfortunate for all of you. It is comforting to know that the loved ones she leaves behind are a living legacy of her strengths and fortitude. To Liesel's family
So sorry for your loss. Liesel did seamstress work for me a number of times over the years when we lived on College Drive and then when we moved to Macungie. She was always such a happy person and loved talking about her family.
