I have often talked about Mr. Perry and his class on the U.S. Constitution. He was an outstanding Teacher, who expected you to know the subject. Always helpful and willing to answer a question. I loved the subject, and still have my copy he gave me. Later I served as an U.S. Army Officer, 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, Gulf War. I am not surprised to learn he served during the Korean War, because it was obvious that he too loved his Country, and knew what the U.S. Constitution stood for, and the Flag represented, as I did because of him. In this day and age only a few earn the title Teacher as he did. May God bless the family, as he is being blessed with eternal life in Heaven. God & Country Rev. Craig Kerewich, Class of 72.

I just learned of Mr Perry's passing. He was one of my favorite teachers in school who encouraged my interest in a subject I disliked. He was a great teacher and the world was made better by his presence and passion for his craft. My condolences to your family.

I just heard of Mr Perry's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I had him for AP history my senior year. He is the lone teacher that prepared me for college and all of the essay writing that is required. He was a great teacher. I absolutely loved him.
At the end of the school year, we had a party in his class...called it Perry Fest. I still have the picture of all of us, along with Mr Perry, in front of the big Perry Fest sign we made and hung in the hallway.
RIP Mr. Perry! You will be missed!

Remembering Gene and the forty-eight years we were neighbors and friends on Truman St. Many confidences and cups of tea were shared at our kitchen tables as we raised our children and then entered into our older years. Even though we are now living in Florida, we will miss him in our minds and hearts. Our love and hugs go out to Shirley, Heather, Jason and the rest of the family. God bless and keep you all in His care
