Eva Oma Scheks, 90, of Bethlehem Township, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born December 24, 1917 in Austria-Hungary, the daughter of the late Johann and Anna (Mink) Durr. She was the loving wife of the late Franz Pop-Pop Scheks who died in 1999. Eva was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church of Bethlehem and its Womens Guild. She was an avid seamstress who worked for Forte Necktie for a few years; but mostly, Eva dedicated her life to her family. Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Joseph Scheks and his wife Judith of Moore Twp.; daughters, Theresa A., wife of Roy A. Bellenoit of Kutztown; Anna E., wife of Brian Kimble of Bethlehem Twp.; Elizabeth A. Burch of Lower Nazareth Twp.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Maria, her sisters, Maria Weinand and Resi Spoliaric and two brothers, Stefan and Valdin Durr. Services: A Funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Connell Funeral Home Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church 416 East Fifth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Send online condolences to www.connellfuneral.com.
