Frank Hirschel Obituary

Hirschel, Frank J.Frank J. Hirschel, of Allentown, passed away on January 14th at the age of 82. He was born in West Catasauqua to the late Harold and Catherine (Vesz) Hirschel and has been married to his loving wife Lenora for 55 years. Frank had served as a Sergeant 1st class with the U.S. Marine's in Japan after WWII. While in the service he had been a rifle instructor and played trumpet with the Marine Corp Band. He then went on to start Frank J. Hirschel Inc. in Easton, during the 1960's, then moving the business to Allentown, during the 1970's, retiring in 1999. Frank had played trumpet for many local bands, enjoyed traveling back and forth from Florida, belonged to Brookside Country Club, and St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He was predeceased by his brother Harold and his sister Betty Colletti. Survivors: Wife Lenora, Son Eugene and wife Sandra Hirschel, Grandsons: Stephen, Mathew, Christopher, and Nicholas along with many nieces and nephews. Services: A viewing will be held on Monday January 19th starting at 1PM to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2PM both will be at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown. www.weberfuneralhomes.com Contributions: In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Autism Society of America-Lehigh Valley at A.S.A-Lehigh Valley, P.O.
