George H. Keil

George Herbert Keil, 90, of Luther Crest Senior Living Community formerly residing in New York and North Carolina, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Marilyn M. (Frank) Keil. Born in Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, George was the son of the late George J. and Lillian (MacKay) Keil. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy, Atlantic Fleet, during the Korean War conflict patrolling the waters from Baffin Island, Canada to the Caribbean Islands. He served as American Legion Post Commander for the Rusy-Bohm Post 411, Islip, NY. He was formerly employed as an operations dispatch manager at NY Telephone.

Survivors: Children, Doreen Keil of Selden, NY, George H. Keil (Maureen) of Schnecksville, Marilyn Frascello (Frank) of Hartland, WI, Laura Tierney (John) of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, David Keil, Brian Keil (Amanda), Justin Keil, Alison Young (Trevor), Frank Fascello (Kinsey) Joseph Frascello, Patrick Tierney,Gillian Tierney; great-grandchildren Samantha Keil, Joshua Keil, Tobias Keil, Madilyn Frascello, Penny Keil; predeceased by a grandson, Martin Keil and siblings, Edwin Keil (Marianne), Ruth Andreasen (Harry).

Servivce: Funeral services will be held 10:30 am. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Fady Lous officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Wednesday, in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
