Hi Pearl and Family.
I was sorry to hear of the passing of your mom, May. I'm sorry for your pain and loss. One of my fondest childhood memories is coming to your farm in the spring with my mom, Grace, to pick strawberries. Well, I'm not sure how many strawberries I picked, but I do remember playing with you, Pearl, when we came and I remember May's beautiful wide smile which she always had. Wishing you peace and fond memories of your sweet mother.

My sweet friends, Pearl, Jay and Serena. My heart is breaking for you all at this time. I am so honored to have known Helen and have such beautiful and fun memories of all of us at activities and special events. Out on the deck with Helen and her sunglasses on! Having a social outside of the cafe, music groups in Moyer Hall and Garden Club!! She had so much love for you guys and the unmeasurable bond between you, Pearl, and your mom is the greatest gift a mom and daughter could have. All of your devotion and love and enthusiasm to bring joy to her life every day is so inspiring. She was so proud of you Pearl, and so proud of Serena, and so proud Jay for leading such a strong family. She loved you guys so much and would brag about you to myself and staff all the time. I smile when I think about my time with Helen at Phoebe. Walking down the hall and peeking in her room, Pearl chatting with the ladies or hanging up cute cat pictures and Serena taking a rest in Helen's bed! So sweet and overwhelmingly peaceful! I miss the days Helen would be reading the newapaper with her magnifier. She lived for the love of her family. And I know she is with your dad smiling down on you all! The sadness you feel is pain that only our Lord can turn into a peace that fills your heart with nothing but joy when you think of Helen. You truly are the most beautiful and wonderful family ever. Helen's love surely will live on through all the beauty in Serena and the wonderful things she does and will do in life. Sending you guys all my love and hugs from Matthew and Avelyn and I. Some of the greateast times of my life were shared with you guys at Phoebe and I love you guys! I'm smiling because I know my friend Helen will be watching the farm show from Heaven with all those sweet kitty cats, Prince, Penny and Cinder, all snuggled up to her with her while she pets them.
