Howard Weaver

Howard Weaver, 86, of Bethlehem, died February 24, 2016 at Kirkland Village. Howard was the loving husband of Betty (Scapellati) Weaver with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Williamsport, PA, Howard was the son of the late Howard and Helen (Vosburgh) Weaver. He always enjoyed a great love for the outdoors, trout fishing and hunting near his home and near the Vosburgh family home in Shady, NY. Howard earned his B.A. in Commerce from Penn State University in 1952. Upon graduation, he served active duty in the Army stationed in Korea and when discharged was awarded the Korean service medal and two bronze service stars. He married Betty and attended Temple University School of Dentistry graduating in 1961. Howard maintained a dental practice in Emmaus until 1991, when he retired and moved to Bethlehem, PA. They enjoyed their retirement travelling extensively. Howard was an active member and served at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Emmaus and later at the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. Survivors: Howard is survived by his wife, son John and wife Donna Weaver and daughters Claudia and Carly, daughter Susan Lushinsky and daughters Rachel and Taryn. He was pre-deceased by a brother Paul Weaver. Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Kirkland Village Auditorium.
