i had the pleasure of being one of jakes good friends. i grew up with jake, we attended clearview together. he was an amazing guy. i recently this summer became very close with jake, i spent everyday this past summer with him. he always brightend up my day. Jake was one of a kind. he will never be replaced. i will dearly miss his hugs, kissed and words of encouragment. jake recently called me about a month ago to inform me he had gotten a job, a cell phone and was going to buy a car. i told him how proud i was of him. i spent a lot of time trying to tell jake he was so much better than what he thought he was, and he deserved so much more than he had. he finally realized it, he was growing up. that day he called, i drove to his house just to give him a big hug to show him how much i cared. i could never in a million years forget jake gibson. i will cherish the memories i have of him forever. rip sweetie i love you dearly.

To Nancy, Edward, and Family,

An old Irish saying goes, “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.” I know this cannot bring you true comfort but Jacob will live on through your memories of him and through his effect on the people he met. We were so sorry to hear of your terrible loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Jake, I only knew you for a year and a half, but Musikfest definitely won't be the same, because that's where we met. I used to see you in the hallways all the time last year and after you graduated I had to get used to not seeing you, it hurts even more knowing I'll never be seeing you again. You'll always remain in our hearts. I just wish it wasn't true. We all want you & Hillary back. I miss you both so much. You'll never know this but I love you kid..keep smiling down on us babe, keep us all safe and make sure we do it right. <3 live it up in Heaven baby.

Jacob,

I never had the pleasure of meeting you but I sure did hear a lot about you... your kindness and loyalty to your friends, your sense of fun and adventure, your desire to make it against all odds and your confidence that you would. My niece Michelle loved you like a brother and my sister Toni cared for you and your well-being as if you were her own son. So, I suppose that this makes us family of sorts. You made a difference and although you had to go so painfully early in your young life, having made a difference counts for something.

Michelle said that she will never be the same, and that the grief is overwhelming having lost you and Hillary and coming so soon after the loss of another of your friends less than one year ago. Do this one last thing for your friends – keep watch over them, be the guardian angel that whispers in their ear to help them along the way, to know when to turn back if the road ahead is not the way to go and to cheer them on when it is.

God bless and keep you. Enjoy your amazing journey…

Jacob, I didn't know you personally but i went to vo-tech and believe i have seen you around! Anyway i would just like to say that you are most definitly in a better place right now..even though you are not physically here YOU ARE HERE !!! and by reading this i see that you were liked and loved by many people..I know how your friends feel for sure! I lost 3 friends within my 4 years of high school all GOOD friends at that..its the most stressfull thing i have ever expirienced but i need to face it and also live with the fact that things happen and it could happen again at any moment but the thought of knowing that you are all with the man above makes me feel ok about the situation..know that your friends and family will NEVER EVER for get about you and you will ALWAYS be remembered..May you rest in peace from now on baby boy and watch over !!!! Also to the Gibson family obviously your son was a wonderful young man ..GOD WANTED HIM..Stay strong and you are in my thoughts and prayers...<3

I can not promise your broken heart will ever be complete.
I will not say it could have been worse.
I will not deny it was a tragedy

He never really left

I do promise he hears you when you speak
I will say he loves you no matter the distance
I will not deny he is in a better place
And, I will not lie; he is waiting to greet you someday

He is every you step you take
He is in everything you do
He is the air you breathe
He is every beat of your heart

" He is like the wind. You can not see him...but you will always feel him"

To the family & friends of Jacob,
I send my condolences and will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. I know Chrissy Gibson through my Aunt Tracy and send anybody reading this these words. The next time the Sun shines it is Jacob smiling down. When the wind blows his hand wiping the tears and when it snows it is his way of showering you with his presence. I also send the words below. God bless all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
