I can see Jim's smile as clear as day and hear his voice the same. Always a kind and easy going person. There was such a sweetness to his soul. Remembering his friendship with gratitude and sending love to his family.

The last time I saw Jimmy was when we were both 11 or 12. I remember going trick-or-treating with him and the laughs. I also remember him making fun of me for saying "man" too often.

I regret that I was living in Boston when you stopped by to see us and we did not get a chance to catch up.

I do think of you on your birthday.

Jim,
We lost touch so long ago. I've been searching for you online for years. Yesterday, I found out you were gone. I am devastated that I will not see you again, that you will not play me a song on your guitar and change all the words to make it funny, that we won't do cartwheels, that you won't make me laugh until it hurts, that you won't ever meet my family. I will always remember you as you were then- completely unselfconscious, hilariously creative, a beautifully brilliant and gentle soul. I am honored to have ever had you in my life. Thank you.
Love,
Deidre (Lutes) Abrons

James was one of the most generous and kind-hearted persons I have ever known. He was genuinely concerned with the well being of others and constantly went out of his way to make people around him happy. He was truly unique in his unselfishness and sincere compassion. My life is undoubtedly richer for having been his friend and I will miss him.

Thank you Jim for all the wonderful memories we had together growing up together. Certainly those lives you have touched throughout your journey will sense a deep sense of loss... you were a wonderful person and my life was much richer for having you in it. Once again, thank you and may god bless you Jim.

If there is anything I can do to assist the parents or Diane please feel free to contact me. I am deepely saddened by our loss.

Diane;

Please know that you and your family are in my prayers at this tough time. We grew up right across the street from each other! Having lost a brother myself last year, my heart is broken with yours. Take care and know that there is peace in God who loves you unconditionally!

Dear Jim,

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen you last or bore witness to that infectious smile of yours and wonderful personality. So many things have changed over the years since our days at PHS but the memories linger on and those who made impressions on the heart are remembered with such fondness. You were certainly one of those people! As I write this, your image is so vivid in my mind that I struggle to believe that you’re gone. You displayed such character and charisma and were always so personable and caring. My heart goes out to your loved ones along with my prayers. I thank God for the wonderful person that you were and for the blessing of your friendship. You will be missed more than you know but will always be remembered well. God Bless and keep you dear friend and say hello to Billups for me.

Jimmy,

Your light in our lives will be sorely missed. I wish that you could've had more time with Mike, he loved you very much and tried so hard to keep in touch with you. I wish that you could've seen our boys. They would've loved playing with you. I wish that we could've had more of a relationship. Even with all of those wishes, I am glad for the time we did have. I am glad for all the memories Mike has of the awesome cousin he looked up to. I am glad that you could be a part of our wedding. I am glad that I caught a glimpse of the sweet, sensitive, and caring man you were. Our children will come to know you from our memories. Rest in peace, Jim. You live on in our hearts. We will see you again.
