James Foulke Obituary

James R. Foulke
James R. Jim Foulke, 76, of Ormrod, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013, in his home. He was the loving husband of Marlene E. (Zimmerman) Foulke. Born July 14, 1937, in Slatedale, he was a son of the late Reese and Verna (Blose) Foulke. Jim was employed since 1970 by Dries Do it center, Macungie, as a contractor salesman. Previously he was a teller and a asst. manager of the former Fogelsville Bank at the Wescosville branch during the 1960s. He graduated from the former Slatington High School in 1955 and later graduated from Penn State University, State College, in 1959 where he received a Bachelors Degree in Economics. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown, where he formerly served as an usher. Jim enjoyed gardening, country music, NASCAR racing, baseball, softball, football, and spending time with his loving family and friends. Survivors: Wife; sons, Steve of Schnecksville and Bryan; daughter, Lisa, wife of Manfred Marschewski of Reigelsville; two grandsons; two granddaughters; sister-in-law, Mildred Foulk of Slatington; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas and Walter Wally Foulk. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, Hunsicker Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3438 Route 309, Orefield PA 18069. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. The Reverend David L. Hess will officiate. Interment, Slatedale Cemetery. Contributions: To the Rescue Mission of Allentown or Ormrod Playground Association, both c/o the funeral home.
