Joan M. Beishline, 77, of Palmer Township, was called home to the Lord Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Triumph Hospital, Wilson. Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Donald and Violet Davitt. She was of the Catholic faith. She graduated from St. Philip and St. James Parochial High School, formerly of Phillipsburg, in 1948 and from Vocational Tehnical School, Eastern Northampton County. Having successfully completed the prescribed course of study in practical nursing in 1973, she was employed at Easton Hospital until 1986 when she retired. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Easton Chapter 5023. Joan was an avid bingo player. Survivors: Husband, Richard O. Beishline; daughters, Barbara Merring of Allentown, Linda Mauser and husband Wasyl of Kreidersville, Patti and husband Walter of West Easton, Susan Dennery of Phoenix, Arizona, Rosemarie Ross and husband Robb of Kunkletown; sons, Joseph R. Geklinsky III of Brodheadsville, Kevin Geklinsky and wife Janeen of Forks Township; stepson, Richard D. Beishline and wife Roxie A. of Durant, Oklahoma; 17 grandhcildren, five great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren; twin brother, John Davitt and wife Hazel of Jacksonville, Arkansas; brother, James Davitt and wife Josie of Palmer Township; sister, Kathryn Woolf of Hazel Green, Alabama. She was predeceased by sisters, Bette Coleman and Marie Langen, brothers, Frank, Robert and Joseph Davitt, and grandson, Joseph R. Geklinsky IV. Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Finegan Funeral Home, 1837 Washington Blvd., Easton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Township. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township. Viewing, 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
