I am the membership coordinator for the 87th Infantry Division Legacy Association. Mr. Caponigro's obituary was forwarded to me by a member of the association. I wanted the family to know that his name will be in the next edition of the Golden Acorn News, and that his name will be read at the memorial service at the next reunion in October. If anyone wants to contact me from the family, my e-mail is [email protected]. My sincere sympathies to the family as we lose another of the greatest generation.

Loved John (and Linda).
Found him to be truly inspirational,
in addition to his being a WWII hero!
He was one of a few who had a believable spiritual experience.
Taking care of him, in a small way,
was indeed an honor. May he RIP.
Chin up Linda et al., Doc WF.
