Not sure what to say?

November 15, 2014

I just learned of John's passing. I am truly saddened. We didn't mesh initially, but I realized it was all my fault because I am a Democrat!!!! (I hear your laughter from heaven, John#!) I even tried to visit you in the hospital. After the first month of getting to know each other, I recognized who you really were beneath the jokes: a great humanitarian, a good son and sibling, a nonjudgemental friend, and God worshipping supporter. I never got to eat those pierogies you were so proud of making, but that is another testimant to the humble man you were. In closing, I will say, "I voted Republican this year". CHEERS And sorrow, LOVE, Doreen Mayo

That was without a doubt the hardest non-family member funeral I was ever at. Thinking about all the things John Sedonic, would do or say. I cried at least three times, once went the priest was speaking about him another when we sang the Lords Prayer, the bass have a solo and he always told me he could not hear me say the word "bread" another was one song where he would help the altos, and again at the end of the Divine Liturgy.
John you are going to be missed.

With deepest sympathy to John's family. I met and spoke with him a few times at Kelly when I had my car there for service. We found out we had a commonality in roots growing up in Northampton. I enjoyed our conversations and appreciated his knowledge, honesty and professionalism. I am greatly sadddened to find out he has passed. May all of you find peace and comfort in the days ahead and Godspeed to you John. You will be missed.

To each of John's sisters, know that I send my heartfelt condolences to you and your families. John was the picture of a true friend. Fun and funny. Great listener and encourager. He was "Uncle John" to my girls when they were small and they loved seeing him when our cars were taken in for service. He was also a devoted Christian man whose faith undoubtedly sustained him. He will be missed.

To the Sedonic family - John and I were good friends growing up on Newport Avenue. We had a lot of good times back then. We lost touch of one another years back, but I am sending my deepest sympathy to all you. Keep your many happy memories close to your hearts and it will help you get through this difficult time.
God bless you all.

The world has definitely suffered a great loss. You brought so many laughs and smiles to my life over the years. I will miss them terribly. You must have yelled "SUSAN" a thousand times, and I wish I could hear it just once more. I can't think of you without smiling. "It could be a hat, a broach, or a Pterodactyl." I will miss sewing your buttons on your shirt, while you were wearing it, because your shirt was really too small and the poor things couldn't handle the strain. You were a great person, and I will miss you.
