Joseph R. Altieri, 80, of Allentown, passed away peacefully Monday night in his home. He was the husband of Kay N. (Maicks) Altieri, who passed away in 1992. Born in South Renovo, PA, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Virginia C. (Bruno) Altieri. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi R. C. Church, Allentown. Before retiring, Joseph was an electrician at US Steel and later worked for the Allentown Parking Authority. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors: daughter, Louann M., wife of Joseph J. Steward; grandchildren Roxanne L. Nieves and Samantha N. Steward; great grandson Gavin Rio Nieves; brothers Anthony F. and his wife Carol, Louis M. and his wife Barbara; sisters Mary A. Smith and Virginia L. Altieri. Services: 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 13, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W.Highland St., Allentown. Your dad was a kind, caring, giving, loving man. I have lots of fond memories(trying liver for the first time yucky) Great Adventure trips, the cabin, the dogs.
