Louis A. Malitsch

Louis A. Malitsch, 86, of Nazareth, passed away February 8, 2017 in Gracedale, Nazareth. He was the husband of Anna "Tootsie" (Zimitz) Malitsch. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 29, 2016. Louis was born April 13, 1930 in Coplay, PA. He was one of thirteen children born to the late Charles and Mary (Solderitch) Malitsch. Louis worked in the Shipping Department at Tarkett Inc., of Whitehall for 40 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines. Louis loved his family and was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, of Nazareth. He enjoyed Polka music and the company of his beloved dog, Shelby. Survivors: Besides his wife, Louis is survived by daughter, Annamarie Malitsch, and son, Louis M. Malitsch, both of Nazareth. Brother, William Malitsch and wife Myrtle, of Coplay. Pre-deceased by brothers, Charles, Joseph, Anthony, Stephen, Gregory, John and Frank Malitsch. Preceded by sisters, Theresa Schweitzer, Mary Luckenbach, Anna Searfass and Rose Wagner. Services: Services will be Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., of Nazareth. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Catholic Church, of Nazareth. Burial with military honors in Holy Family Cemetery, Nazareth. Calling hours will be Saturday 9:00-10:30 AM in the funeral home.
