Just wanted; to share a post from facebook I shared last week...Today I am sad…another great kid and former student has left this world. Sometimes trying to figure out Gods plan is impossible, yet I am so thankful to have been a small part of this plan…I am also thankful that I have had the opportunity recently to spend some time with Lucas on my quick visits to Parkettes…each time I saw him I was reminded of how awesome he as a young athlete made me feel when I coached him…I regret is that I did not tell him…Lucas always said the right things, he was young and innocent, yet had an old soul…he said things I never thought a young kid would come up with…he often told me that I was a good coach, he even professed it to his teammates on occasion…Well, needless to say this always made my day and made me feel like it must be true, Lucas said it! I am blessed to have the opportunity to cross paths with so many awesome, beautiful people …we often take for granted that friends, students, family will be around forever, and we go on as such…waiting for that next chance meeting, believing all will be well…as a coach, one of our biggest joys is watching our students grow up, do wonderful things and evolving the relationship we began as teacher-student, having a beer with them someday, going to a wedding, talking about their family and kids, maybe watching their children take on gymnastics…when this chance is taken away, it's disappointing, sad, almost selfishly so-it is one thing as coaches we hold onto to validate that we did “do good”…I guess the point I want to make is that in life many people will cross your path, they will impact you, they will help to shape you, they will change you, they will make you a better person…this is not luck, this is design…Lucas made me better, he made a difference, and I am grateful…Life truly is short, savor every moment, value every relationship whether short or lasting, make a difference, hug more, smile more, high-five more, and enjoy more! Thanks to all of the awesome, wonderful people I have shared time with—and to those who left this life on earth a bit early-Shannon Coleman, Brian Babcock, Keith Klepac, Austin Zalik, Ellen Smith and Lucas Boyle—you made a difference and that is what matters most to me!-Coach Phill

My deepest sympathy at the loss of Lucas. I was his high school bus driver and he was a very polite, pleasant and respectful young man. I really enjoyed having him on my bus. I just ran into him a few weeks ago at Turkey hill, like I had so many times before. Always a smile on his face and he always made time to chat for a little while. He was a terrific kid and will be missed. His unselfish act of organ donation just tells everyone what a remarkable young man he was.
RIP Lucas and God bless you and your family as they try to come to terms with this. No parent should have to bury their child and no child should have to bury their friend.

The loss of a loved one is so hard to face, you just wanna hide go somewhere and escape! But death is something that we must all go through, I know its hard when it's someone you loved and knew. Just know now he is in a better place, no more hurt or pain shall he face. It seems unfair and yes this is true, but he is in heaven now watching over me and you ! God has called him home to rest!! And he's being well taken care of because God knows best.
