Marianne loved to come and visit me in California. For the past few years she made plans to come she wasn't able to keep but we always said "next year." I found stores and shops in the Bay Area I never knew existed until Marianne found them.
On one visit I took her to Monterey and Carmel to sightsee. We were standing on the beach looking at the ocean (or at least, I was). I turned to her to say how beautiful it was, when she suddenly spotted a silver shop she had to visit. Natural beauty is in the eye of the beholder and in Marianne's eye there was nothing more beautiful than an unexplored shop. I will miss her and all the fun we had as both kids and adults.

On January 25, 2011, I lost my best friend, my confidant, the one who was always there for me, MY SISTER MARIANNE. She is loved by me and all the people she came in contact with. With good reason, she was a very loving and caring woman who would do all she could to make other peoples' lives better.
I do AND will always love and miss her. Rest in Peace My Sister, Rest in Peace

Marianne (Mer) and I have been friends for 55 years. We could talk or see each other every few months and nevermiss a beat. I saw her last at St. Luke's and although a part of my life has left this earth, I am so grateful that she is no longer suffering

I was Marianne's hairdresser for the past 20 years and can't remember a time when she didn't have a smile on her face and a positive attitude about her health even though she would fall asleep in my chair as I did her hair when her sugar level dropped and I'd get her a piece of candy. She was a fighter and kept up a brave front until the end as I would visit her in the hospital or at Country Meadows. She always wanted to look good with her hair done and boy did she love the hair spray! I will miss her dearly and the banter we had over styling and length. She was a very special lady.

Marianne was my neighbor growing up and I am sad to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful woman and I am sure she is in a better place now.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade,
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in our heart.
We share the comfort in knowing that Marianne is no longer suffering. We send thoughts of sympathy and support to you and yours.

I am so very sorry to find out that Marianne had passed.
I got to know Marianne through the gym at St. Luke's North. She was a wonderful person!
Don't get her started on politics because she would give you a run for your money!
I will miss our conversations on the phone and our dinners at Nick's.
I never met anyone that loved to shop as much as she did!
I got to meet "Angel", "Jack" and "Belle". She just cherished these cats.
We are blessed to have had Marianne in our lives for all our personal reasons.
Karen - I never got a chance to reciprocate that wonderful dinner you and Marianne prepared for my sister and I last year.
My deepest condolences.

Marianne was my next door neighbor growing up. She was always at our birthday parties and family picnics and I will always remember her as a very special, funny lady who felt more like family than simply a neighbor.

What a blessing it was to have Marianne as my neighbor on North St. for 17 years - it was like having a good sister next door! I'm glad she is no longer suffering, but I really will miss her.

I'm sure there's a ruckus going on in the skies above since the Lord called you home to Him. It's a comfort knowing you're not in pain and suffering anymore, but it's not fair you were taken from us so soon. We will miss you dearly, and your spunky attitude and all the fun times we've shared will never ever be forgotten. I love you. ~ Tiffy

We enjoyed getting to know Aunt Marianne as a very fun-loving, spunky, and hard working patient while here at Country Meadows-Bethlehem. We will miss her dearly-may she rest in peace where she is no longer suffering.

What very nice person, she may have ended her carrier with the Norfolk Southern, but started it with the Central Railroad of New Jersey, a great friend and asset to the CNJ. May she rest in eternal peace.
