Mary Saveri Obituary

Mary R. Saveri, 73, of Germansville, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Complete Care at Lehigh. She was the wife of Debra L. Grundstrom to whom she had been married 7 years. Born in Northampton, January 17, 1949, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph N. Saveri, Sr. and Anne L. (King) Wilson. She was a Senior Designer for Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown for 27 years before retiring in 2015. Mary was a member of the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and UAW, Local 677. She also was a former 4-H volunteer dog trainer for children ages 7-16. Mary loved to go birdwatching, enjoyed nature, and thoroughly loved her dream property in Germansville. Mary was affiliated with Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

Survivors: In addition to her loving wife, Debra; brothers, Joseph N. Saveri, Jr. and his wife, Sally of Coopersburg, Thomas J. Saveri and his wife, Theo of Potter County; two nieces; beloved German Shepherd, Nikki; predeceased by brother, David L. Saveri.

Service: A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the church. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 196 Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
