We are sorry for the loss of your son Matt.
We remember great times at UT when Matt and Dennis played baseball. Spending summer nights watching our kids learn about being a team player, competitiveness and winning and losing are memories we will have for a lifetime and made our sons better men because of it.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Curt and I both of have loving memories of Mattie; from days of babysitting, when Mattie pronounced my name as Sassy and the nickname stuck, to Curt assistance coaching him in biddy hardball and later missing out on FFL draft picks because Mattie had the knack of picking players Curt wanted. We will always remember him fondly as a kind and fun loving person. Love Sally & Curt

Matty I don't even know where to start. You and I had so many good memories together. Playing out back in the alley, Union Terrace, Alton park. I remember when we went to Baseball Hall of Fame that memory sticks with me forever. You will always have peace of my heart. You were truly a good friend of mine. I will never forget our memories as kids. Walking home together, watching you play ball at the park, and sitting in classes together. Even after our separation into adulthood, I will hold onto our memories as kids. Matty u will always be missed by your friends and family.

I cannot think about my years at Raub without thinking about you almost instantly Matt. You were a unique individual with so many good qualities. I will always cherish our times spent on and off the basketball court or at Union Terrace playing football. Even though we had not seen each other in many years i still hold dear those fond memories. You and I met through Billy and some classes we had together back in the day. I loved hearing stories you all would share about growing up together. Even though you all didn't see each other much as adults, the friendship and love you all share is undeniable. Tears have been and will always be shed in memory of you, from sadness to laughter. You will always be a huge part of everyone's heart! Your strength in your fight was tough, but it outweighs any UFC fighter out there, that's for sure. May you rest in peace and look over family and friends.
