Bruce Alan Kromer, age 63, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Bruce was born on December 16, 1962, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to the late Leroy and Jeanette Hilt Kromer. A roofer by trade, Bruce was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent more than 20 years serving the construction industry.
Bruce will be remembered most for his humor and joyful spirit. He was the beloved goofball of his family in the very best way. He was silly, lighthearted, and always full of laughter. He never took life too seriously and had a rare gift for lifting spirits, often making others smile even during life’s most difficult moments. His humor, strong work ethic, ability to bring joy to those around him, and being a huge Dallas Cowboys fan were just a few of the many qualities that made him so special and so deeply loved.
Bruce’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving children, Tonya Scheffer, Crissie Kromer, Tiffany Kromer, and Breanna Kromer; his son-in-laws, Troy, Tony, and Charlie; his grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah, Patrick, Zacherie, Chelsi, Alyssa, Riot, Hazel, Violet, Asher, Aaliyah; his great-grandchildren, Melanii and two great-grandchildren on the way; his siblings, Brenda Holderman and Janet Matthias; and his devoted partner, Joann Petchonka; his partners sister Dawn Petchonka Vansyckle; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Bruce is preceded in death by his son, Craig Kromer, his granddaughter, Ava, his siblings, George Kromer and Karl Kromer.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in Bruce’s honor directly to his family.
