Deborah Kromer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 5, 2025.
Deborah Kathleen Kromer, 76, passed away on November 21, 2025. Born April 5, 1949, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin and Violet Kromer. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Kromer, and her sister, Susan Whipple.
Deborah loved many things in life, but nothing meant more to her than her family-and cooking for them. She was most at home in the kitchen, where she could always be found preparing a delicious dinner or a delectable dessert for the people she cherished. Her love for animals was just as strong; she once raised and showed Collies in the AKC and spent years raising horses on a ranch in California.
A dedicated registered nurse, Deborah devoted herself to helping others. She moved to California in the 1960s, where she began raising her family. In 1985, she relocated to New York and remained there until 1996, when she moved west to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Deborah was fortunate to find a job that combined her work with her passion for travel. Her journeys took her across the United States-from Hawaii to Alaska, and from Texas to Massachusetts. She delighted in exploring new places and discovering new foods, many of which she later recreated for her family. She enjoyed camping trips, especially to Nevada's hot springs or the peaceful mountains she loved so much.
After retiring, Deborah lived with her children in Michigan, Las Vegas, and eventually Virginia-a place she adored for its changing seasons and its feeling of home.
Deborah lived her life fully and fiercely. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a love that reached to the stars and back. She was a compassionate soul, always ensuring that the people she cared for were supported and cared for. Her presence, warmth, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Deborah is survived by her siblings Sherrill, Raymond, Theodora, and Lori; her loving son, Vincent Darragh; and her loving daughters, Traci Boyajian and Erin Franke also her son in laws Kevin Franke and Chris Boyajian. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler, Brandon, Lindsey, Kathaleen, Stephen, Jordan, Zachary, Joseph, Steven, Vincent, Eliza, and Kayleigh; and six great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Daniel, Liam, Jensen, Thalia, and Oliver. Deborah will be missed by all who loved her.
