It was my privilege to work together with Mike within the NATO W&S community.
Last time I spoke with him was during the dinner in May this year in Indianapolis.

I was blown away earlier today when Joe Bertrand, USMA 1995, sent me a note about Mike's passing. I served with Mike in 4-5 ADA, 1st Cav Div back when we were LTs. We lost touch for too many years, but I ran into him again at Picatinny about 5 years ago and kept in touch since then.
Mike was a great and loyal friend. His sense of humor was one of a kind. I'll never forget his smile...always something a bit mischievous about it.
Rest in Peace, Mike!

Dear Tauber Family:
I just heard of Mike's passing and am heartbroken. My most sincere condolences. Mike and I were friends and company-mates at West Point. You may remember me, as Mike and I went on spring break together and you were nice enough to put us up one night in your home in PA. Although we hadn't stayed in touch after graduation, I have very fond memories of Mike and know that he must be horribly missed. I am very sorry that I cannot attend his services. I understand he is being put to rest at West Point. I think he would have liked that. Please let us know if any non family members would be welcome to attend that. I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was one of the best guys I knew at school.
