Norman Merkin was an extraordinary, unique and kind gentleman. His second career was his volunteer work at St; Luke's University Hospital, primarily in the newly created Cancer Care Unit. His devotion to the staff and patients had no end. Norm was a joy to so many folk who had the privilege of meeting him. He loved his family and included us in that circle. I will remember his smile, hugs, sense of humor and caring ways.
