Paula G. Stein
Paula G. Stein, 75, of West Hartford, Conn., died March 16, 2006 in the University of Connecticut Medical Center. She held a masters degree in counseling from Springfield College. She taught school in Springfield and served as a guidance counselor at Windsor Locks Middle School. She managed the gift shop at the Childrens Science Museum of Connecticut. She also taught English as a Second Language. She avidly enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, swimming, cycling, playing tennis, attending the theater and concerts. She enjoyed traveling, playing Mah Jong, and participating in group book discussions. Her civic interest include The League of Women Voters and Bnai Birth Anti-Defamination League. Survivors: She was the wife of Dr. Harvey L. Glass and the mother of three daughters, Debbie of New York City, Jamie, wife of Carl Muzio, of West Suffield, and Ricki, wife of Randy Bernhard, of Cooperstown, Pa. Paula was predeceased by her parents, Marcella (Melamed) and Paul Greenman of Cape Coral, Fla. and her sister, Patti Zoppetti of Geneva, Switzerland. She is also survived by three grandsons, Alex and Max Bernhard and Marco Muzio, nieces and nephews in Switzerland, Japan and Australia. She also leaves behind Alan, Amy and Mitchell Glass, Harveys children, many other relatives and friends. Paula was previously married to Mickey Stein of Springfield, Mass. Services: Final arrangements will be private. There will be an open house reception at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 19 in the home of Jamie Stein-Muzio, 55 Lebria Road, West Suffield, Conn.
