My condolences to Sue,loved ones and all the kitties at FFF that will notice his absence.

Dick helped on many occasions, the most recent was in early October when a feral kitten showed up under our shed.

Dick had a wonderful life filled with accomplished goals. He molded young men and was selfless in donating his time to needy animals.

Always enjoyed our conversations at the shelter. A very special individual...big shoes to fill.

My husband, Keith DeLong, and I first met Dick and Sue almost 20 years ago when they invited us to their home to interact with two long-haired, gorgeous orange and white sibling cats that we were considering adopting from Forgotten Felines. We took the kitties, Creamy Boy and Mr. Riley, home but a week or so later had to call Dick to ask him how to get the cats to come up from the basement because they were so frightened by their new surroundings. Dick gave us wonderful advice, and after some scratches and screams, we got the cats to the first floor. Creamy and Riley ended being a couple of our most beloved cats in a long line of lovable fluffernutters. I will always think of Dick as a saint to all the abandoned, neglected felines and canines out there. I know he's surrounded by all those creatures he saved and found new homes for over the decades. I hope Creamy and Riley are cuddling up next to you, kind man. Until we all meet again.

So few people impact a community like Mr. Bowman did. He left one of the most lasting impressions on me as he did for so many in the Pen Argyl school district and beyond. He pushed us to do and be more and did it with care, love, and understanding. I will miss him dearly. My deepest sympathies to the family and those closest to him.

Dick was an example of what every teacher should strive to be. He cared about the success of the kids he taught and believed that every kid could learn. He was the first into school every morning, but not to socialize, but to help his students who might not understand the concepts. All kids loved him and he dedicated his life to helping kids become the best that they could be. He will be missed by all but leaves behind a legacy of thousands of kids that he made better. Thanks you Dick for always being there for anyone who needed help.

Mr. Bowman was always so kind to me when he came into the Danielsville Post Office where I had worked.

We first met by Anne Lacko, where he took great care of her and her dogs while they were at Forgotten Felines.

Mr. Bowman did tiredness work for the Forgotten Felines. He will be greatly missed.
