Richard Koch Obituary

Richard H. Koch
Richard H. Koch, 91, of Allentown, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Joseph and Clara E. (Schneuer) Koch. He was the loving husband of Janice (Wieder) Koch. Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Regina T. (Eberanz) Koch, in 1982. Mr. Koch worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a chemist. He was an avid bowler and a member of numerous clubs in the Lehigh Valley, and an avid coin collector for his grandchildren. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice, sons, Richard T. Koch and his wife Kim of Fountain Hill, James Koch and his wife Wanda of Ocala, Fla., stepsons, Michael Ohl and John Heman, brother, Joseph Koch of Fountain Hill, grandchildren, Cameron and Allison, and stepgrandchild, Erin Marie Getz. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Madeline Carol Koch, and his brother, William Koch. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon today, Jan. 2, 2009, in Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem. Visitation, 10-11:30 a.m. today, Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Send online condolences to www.connellfuneral.com.
