Richard Laubach Obituary

Richard S. Laubach, Jr.
Richard S. Laubach, Jr., 83, of Nazareth, died March 30, 2010 in VNA Hospice of St. Lukes, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Elizabeth Betty (Peters) Laubach. They celebrated 56 years of marriage last May 23. Richard was born June 9, 1926 in Wilson, son of the late Richard S., Sr. and Hilda (Scheffler) Laubach. He was a chemist for Bethlehem Steel, retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Richard was a Protestant. He graduated from Nazareth High School in 1943. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Stockertown Rod and Gun Club, East Lawn Fire Co., and a life member of Nazareth Jacksonian Club. Survivors: Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughters, Dr. Sherri Laubach and her husband Robert Rozen, Denver, CO and Kathy B. Walizer, Phillipsburg, NJ; son, Richard K. Laubach, Nazareth; five grandchildren, Travis and Alicia Walizer, Kaylie and Aimee Rozen, and Holly Laubach; one great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Walizer. Services: As Richard has requested, there will be no services or calling hours. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VNA Hospice of St. Lukes or to The Stockertown Rod and Gun Club c/o Reichel Funeral Home, Nazareth.
