Robert C. Hamm Jr.

Robert C. Hamm, Jr., 89, of New Tripoli, PA. passed away on October 27, 2021 at Whitehall Manor, Whitehall, PA. He was the widower of the late Carolyn M. (Mantz) Hamm, who passed away in 2018. Born in Lynnport, PA., he was the son of the late Robert C. and Florence L. (Koenig) Hamm, Sr. Robert was a truck driver for Horlacher Brewing Company and Friedman's Express, until retiring in 1995. After retirement, he worked as a groundskeeper for Olde Homestead Golf Course, New Tripoli, PA. Robert was an active member of his community having served as a Deacon and an Elder for Ebenezer UCC Church, New Tripoli, PA., president of the Ebenezer UCC Cemetery Association for several years, Assistant Chief for the Community Fire Co., New Tripoli, PA. for twenty-five years, an elected auditor of Lynn Township for nearly sixty years, and was a member of the Junior Mechanics Lodge of New Tripoli. Survivors include his sons, Darryl R. (Carol Cole) Hamm of Harrisburg, PA., and Kevin R. (Wendy Martucci) Hamm of Shamong, NJ.; grandchildren, Melissa M. (Kirk) Hagenow of Landisburg, PA., and Logan Hamm of Shamong, NJ.; step-granddaughter, Rebecca Mount of Shamong, NJ; great-granddaughter, Stella G. Hagenow; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Forest, Laird, and Kenneth Hamm. Robert's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer UCC Church, 7293 Decatur St. New Tripoli, PA. 18066, with a calling hour to begin at 10:00 AM. Interment in adjoining cemetery. Rev. Walter F. Frisch will officiate.
