Robert J. Rountree

Robert "Bob" J. Rountree, 77, of Allentown, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the beloved husband of Bonita Lee (Perez) Roundtree. Born in Pottsville, PA, he was the son of the late Amy (Christ) Rountree. Bob was a Marine Corps Veteran and worked for Rockwork as a blaster for many years.

He was dearly loved by many family, friends and neighbors throughout his years, and will be missed by all for the light he brough to their lives. He spent many weekends polka dancing with his wife and friends and loved listening to the various local polka bands. In autumn, he and his wife would ride through Pennsylvania's countryside to see the changing of the leaves. Bob loved being outdoors, animals and watching the deer graze behind his house. He had adopted multiple dogs throughout his lifetime. A lifelong history buff, he was also a railroad enthusiast who enjoyed taking train tours through the Pocono Mountains. Bob loved to sing, drive and to care for others, but most of all, above all else, he was known for his friendship, laughter, kindness and love.

Services: Memorial, 3 p.m. Sunday March 7, 2021 at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, 15 E. Stoyer Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA. A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the church. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
