Ronald Hottenstein Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. - Coplay on Feb. 17, 2026.
Ronald Lee Hottenstein, 83, of Salisbury Township, died peacefully at his home Sunday, February 15, 2026, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Gail L. (Kline) Hottenstein and would have celebrated 63 years of marriage together this March. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Warren J. and Mabel (Longenbach) Hottenstein.

After graduating from high school, Ronald began his lifelong career as a sheet metal mechanic with the former Allentown Sheet Metal and Roofing. He was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 19, and took great pride in his work and the friendships he built along the way. He carried with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and dedication throughout his life.

Ronald truly loved the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature, he found peace outside. But nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family. He treasured family gatherings and trips to his nephew's cabin.

Above all else, Ronald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His steady presence, sense of humor, and strength will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In addition to his beloved wife, Gail, he is survived by his daughters, Tammy Speck and her wife, Suzann; Wendy Venema and her husband, David; and Shenon Fragnito and her husband, Josef; his cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Alicia, Savannah, Ashley, Gideon, Quinn, and Aidan; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, John Hottenstein and his wife, Barbara; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren, and his sisters, Frieda, Dawn, and Anna Mae.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or the The Parkinson's Foundation, Attn: Donor Services, 5757 Waterford District Drive, Suite 310, Miami, FL 33126.
