Mercy,
I was trolling names from my past and I came across this sad information. You know how much Bob and you meant to Denise and I when I joined up with Frederick Chevy in September 1984.
The times we shared together with you and Bob during the Mid 80's were some of the fondest memories I carry.
Our own family began during those years and when the thoughts and memories come rushing back, I'm just numb with feelings that resonate.
I have no idea what happened but our thoughts and prayers are with you now as time now has moved on.

Dear Mercy, Rob, Amy and Family, I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Bob. I am beyond heartbroken for all of you. I so wish I could've been at the services, Michelle said they were beautiful. We had a wonderful childhood growing up with you all. Too many great memories to share so publicly (and some perhaps too inappropriate). Most recently, I am eternally greatful to Bob for all of his help with our father's memorial last year. I just can't believe he is gone. When we are in Allentown this summer, we must all go to Stahley's and have clams in his honor. I love you all.

I remember moving away from Bob at the Corvette meetings when he wore too much cologne. He could not understand that anyone would not want to sit next to him. One time I gave him an empty bottle of no smell cologne!

Bob will always be a special person and friend to me. I've known him since I could walk and had the pleasure of working with him for about 11 years. Bob always had extreme enthusiasm towards everything he had a passion with. Cars, corvettes, sail boats just to name a few. He was a wonderful friend and mentor and I learned so much from him. I'm so sorry to the Wetherhold family.

I'm not sure I've ever met a person with more of a passion for life and those around him. We were all better people for knowing him. The love he had for Mercy, his children and grandchildren came out every day at work in his stories. He was so proud of all of you. I will miss him dearly.

Greg & I were saddened to hear about Bob's passing. We will never forget 25 years ago when he drove in our wedding & announced us as the NEW Mr. & Mrs. Sheckler. He was an awesome friend when he selflessly drove 12 hours straight to SC to be with his buddy Joe. They are now again together.

We first purchased a car from Bob in 1991 and enjoyed many conversations with him over the years. You could tell he loved his work by his depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for cars. The importance of his family was evident by the many photographs at his desk. We knew him as a good man.
