Rudolph Kroboth Obituary
Rudolph Rudy Kroboth, 91, of Nazareth, PA. died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Gracedale, Northampton County Home, in Upper Nazareth Twp., PA. Born: October 10, 1917, in Nazareth, PA , the son of the late Frank and Theresa (Deutsch) Kroboth. Personal: His wife, the former Julia Weiss died in 1992. He was employed as a millwright at Hercules Cement Co., in Stockertown, Pa., for 31 years. He also farmed the family farm in Plainfield Twp., Pa He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in WW II. Memberships: He was a member of St. Elizabeths of Hungary Parish in Pen Argyl, Pa, and a member of the Holy Family Club in Nazareth, PA. Survivors: One daughter; Linda Parr of New Jersey, one son; Robert Kroboth of Plainfield Twp., Pa two sisters; Helen Rausher of Mt. Bethel, Pa, and Elsie Loh of Easton, Pa, one brother; Frank Kroboth of Coplay, Pa and six grandchildren. One son Randy F. Kroboth, three sisters Anna Ionno, Theresa Macsisak, and Margaret Cech, and three brothers Richard, William and Charles Kroboth all died earlier. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeths of Hungary Parish, Babbit and Heller Aves., Pen Argyl, Pa, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12. Call Tuesday 9 - 10:15 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in St. Elizabeths Catholic Cemetery Plainfield Twp, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, Pa. Contributions: Memorials, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Elizabeths of Hungary Parish, Building Fund 300 W. Babbit Ave. Pen Argyl, Pa 18072

My name is Cindy Eberts. My mother was Ellen Kroboth Dlugos, and I believe her father Kayton was a brother to Rudi. I recognized a few names, the sisters Anna, Theresa, and Margaret.My uncle Ralph Kroboth in particular used to talk about "Uncle Rudi" a lot. I believe I even met him at a family reunion at the home of my cousin Dayle West, whose father was Kayton Kroboth's son Alfred.
