Ruth M. Frable

Ruth M. Frable, 77, beloved wife and mother of Northampton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday December 24, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Douglas E. Frable, Sr. of Northampton; they were married 54 years on August 10, 2017. Born in Slatington, she was the seventh of seventeen children to the late Harry and Dorothy (Kemp) Bowers. She was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1958. Ruth worked for Paris Accessories for 40 years before retiring. She enjoyed knitting, NASCAR, and was an avid Phillies fan. She was a member of Christ U.C.C., Walnutport. Ruth was a wonderfully kind person, who was loved and will be missed by all. Survivors: Husband; Son: Douglas Frable Jr., and wife Wendy of Danielsville; Daughters: Donna Frable of Northampton, Darla and husband Michael Frack of Danielsville, Diane and husband Charles Hardy of Slatington, Dawn and husband Scott Schaeffer of Coplay; Grandchildren: Douglas, Clint, Steven, Clay, Daniel, Brandon; Great-Granddaughter: Elizabeth; Sisters: Carol Jones, Linda Leibenguth, Dorothy Kresini; Brothers: Howard, Harry, Donald, Russell, Richard, and Mark Bowers; Grand-dogs: Minnie, Abigail, Bella, Radar. She was pre-deceased by siblings Stanley Bowers, George Bowers, Nancy Marsh, Mary Frable, Alice Acker, Willard Bowers, and Jennie Hunsicker; furry children: Nipper and Kitty; and grand-dogs: Maggie, Jenny and Boomer. Services: 11 A.M. Thursday December 28, 2017 at Christ U.C.C., 309 Main Street, Walnutport. Calling hour 10-11 A.M. at the church. Interment of cremains will be 1pm Saturday December 30 at Indianland Cemetery, Almond Rd, Cherryville. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
