Ruth A. Keiser
Ruth A. Keiser, 94, formerly of Bangor, Pa., died Sunday, February 4, 2007 in Phoebe Home, Allentown, Pa. Born March 20, 1912 in Bangor, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clayton F. and Mamie (Repsher) Fenner. Her husband, Herbert T. Keiser, died in 1996. She was employed as a clerk by the former W.T. Grant, Bangor, until retiring in 1971. She was a member of First United Evangelical Congregational Church, Bangor, where she was a member of the Every Ready Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Blue Valley Garden Club, and a charter member of the Second Ward Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Bangor. Survivors: Three daughters, Madge Ackerman and her husband, Carl, of Macungie, Pa., Shirley Datesman of Bethlehem Township, Pa., Brenda Sue Rice and her husband, Conrad, of Nazareth, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Larry Keiser and his wife, Adrienne, Carla Sue Morris and her husband, John, Rebecca Houser and her husband, Christopher, Keith Keiser and his wife, Gina, Cathy Jones and her husband, Robert, Sherry Walker and her husband, Mark, Coy Ackerman and his wife, Paula, Deana Sewald and her husband, Eric, Christian Rice and his wife, Janel, and Courtney Schnyderite and her husband, James; 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. One son Paul H. Keiser, a son-in-law, Dyle Datesman, a brother, Leroy C. Fenner, and a sister, Marjorie Tonkin, all died earlier. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in the First United Evangelical Congregational Church, S. Second Street, Bangor. Call Thursday 10-11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Bangor. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Evangelical Congregational Church, P.O. Box 726, Bangor, PA 18013.
