Stephen Andrew Kotch
Stephen Andrew Kotch, 90, formerly of 1105 N. 19th St., Allentown died Friday, August 27, 2010 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of the late Viola (Drauch) Kotch. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Janenko) Kotch. He was a graduate of Emmaus High School. He was the owner and operator of the former Good Will Cafe on South 8th St., Allentown for many years. Previously he was employed at Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where he had served as a lector and usher. He was a 60 year member of the Men of Malvern. He was a member and had held many positions in the Democratic Club, Allentown. Survivors: Daughter, Mary Ann Lynn of Wescosville; sisters, Joanna Green of Emmaus, Catherine Cressman of East Greenville; grandsons, Thomas Kelly husband of Corinne of Hilton Head, SC, Mark Kelly husband of Lisa of Allentown, Adam Kelly fiance of Lauren of Allentown; great grandchildren, Laura, Anna and River; sister-in-law, Margaret Drauch of Allentown; nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by; his wife, a son, Stephen E. Kotch, Esquire; and a sister, Helen Semancik. Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. Arrangements by J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown. Memorial contributions can be made in Stephens memory to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 825 N. 11th St., Allentown, PA 18102.

Poppop Kotch was always a character. He was the perfect grandfather and great-grandfather. He will always be remembered and missed.
