Theodore DeLong Obituary
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Melville and Verna (Searle) DeLong. Ted attended the Overbrook School for Blind in Philadelphia. He was self-employed for more than 25 years, owning DeLong's Contracting, Pool Business and Plumbing until 1975.
Survivors: Children, Teddy DeLong (Nellie), Garry DeLong (Anne), James DeLong (Carol), Maryann Boehm (Christopher) and Dorothy Keeler (Kevin); 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by siblings Kermit DeLong, Edna Held, twins Malcom and Melville DeLong and Joyce Kratzer.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown. We request that face coverings are worn inside the funeral home.

We are very sorry about the passing of your Dad. He was a wonderful man who lived an extraordinary life.
Scott has great memories of the trips to Canada with him and the DeLong gang. May he rest in peace and may your memories of him be a bridge to peace and love that never ends. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

Jeff and I are very sorry about Ted's passing. He had a long and interesting life, which I was able to learn much about by assisting his daughter when she wrote his person biography. He never let his blindness keep him from doing as much as possible. He kept living life no matter what adversity he faced. Rest in peace, Ted.
