Thomas Gori Obituary
Thomas J. Gori, 69, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Hospice of the V.N.A. of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township. He was born in Fountain Hill, the son of Mary Gori and the late John V. Gori. Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Rachel M. Gori. He proudly served his country in the Air Force in A.F. Security Command during the cold war. He retired from the military after 21 years of service as a Master Sergeant. Thomas retired from the Allentown Housing Authority in 2006. Thomas was an avid bass fisherman. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, James Gori and his wife Tanya of Fountain hill and their daughter Sara, and Steven Gori and his wife Lisa of Blakeslee and their children, Ashley and Jake. Services: A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday June 24, at Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, with a service to immediately follow in the funeral home officiated by Rev. Dr. Robert C. Santucci. Online condolences may be made at www.connellfuneral.com. Hi Gori family. I am one of the nurses from lehigh valley home care i mostly saw Mr Gori on the weekends...I am deeply saddened to learn of his death. I will miss my visits with him because he was such a funny person..I have no clue how he retained all those jokes over all the years. He is reunited with his beloved Rachel whom i know he missed terribly and he is no longer in pain for both of these i am thankful but will truly miss him. Besides making me laugh he really did have a lot of useful advice and was very knowledgeable. God bless you...

To Tom Gori's Family,
My deepest condolences. Tom was a great person to be around. His friendship and jovial manner always lightened everyone's spirits. He was a member of Backlash Bassmasters of PA for many years. He held office with the highest and had the utmost respect of his fellow members. May he rest in peace.

My deep sympathy to all concerned. I knew and worked with Tom when he was at Bethlehem Housing Authority and I was a City Councilman. Tom was always gracious and treated all with great respect. May God Bless him and allow him to rest in peace.
