Ted Gori

Ted Mino Gori, born on December 8, 1968, in Manhattan, and raised in Teaneck, New
Jersey, passed away on May 4, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Becky, devoted
father to Logan and Owen, cherished son of Lorraine and George, and dear brother to
Chris, Phil, and Al.
Ted's life was a symphony of creativity and passion, with music serving as the melody of
his soul from an early age. As a drummer, he found his rhythm and heartbeat in the
pulsating cadence of the drums. His love for music soared as he played with fervor and
dedication, particularly with his friends in the popular band, Black Dog, where his
passion for Led Zeppelin reverberated through every beat.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ted's talents took center stage as he played for the
renowned band Betty, whose journey was immortalized in the off-Broadway musical,
"Betty Rules," directed by Michael Greif. He further showcased his musical prowess by
writing and producing his solo album, "Hollywood Lockout." Ted's eclectic career saw
him collaborate with iconic artists such as the B-52s, Atilla Engin, and Leslie Gore,
weaving his rhythms into the fabric of their timeless melodies.
Generous, grateful, and endlessly creative, Ted's values shone brightly through his
music and his life. He embodied individualism, optimism, and determination, marching
