A proud veteran, Michael served with honor in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957 and in the US Marines from 1957-1960. His professionalism and dedication to his role were evident to all who worked with him.
Michael's early years were filled with the thrill of scuba diving, as he explored the mysteries of the ocean's depths. His love for sailing was equally profound, as he embraced the adventure and freedom of the open waters. As a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, Michael enjoyed the highs and lows of sportsmanship, always hopeful for the next season's triumphs. His passion for music was encapsulated by his love for Jimmy Buffett, whose tunes often served as a soundtrack to many family gatherings.
Beyond his hobbies, Michael had a deep love for his beloved boxers, finding companionship and joy in their presence. His passion for history was infectious, and he was always eager to learn more and share stories from the past. Whether recounting a historical event or a personal anecdote, Michael's interesting conversations were a testament to his love for storytelling.
Michael G. Lawson will be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest, embracing each day with love, curiosity, and a sense of adventure. His legacy is not just in the memories he leaves behind but in the lives he has touched with his kind heart and spirited nature.
