William Graul Obituary

William "Jack" J. Graul, Jr. 80, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with COPD. He was the husband of Marnell (Lovelace) Graul. They were together for 33 years. Jack was born in Allentown a son of the late William J. Graul, Sr. and Catherine (Schubert) Graul. He was a graduate of Parkland High School Class of 1960. After graduation Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for three years in Germany during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. After graduation he joined his father in business as an insurance agent for the Stimmel and Graul Insurors and Realtors. Jack went on to own and operate the business until 2012. Jack was a member of the Quakertown and former Allentown Sertoma Clubs where he served as the treasure for over 30 years. He was one of the original members of the Allentown Jaycees. As a member of the Jaycees, he was very instrumental in organizing the Big Brother and Big Sister program, where Jack served on their board for many years. Jack spent over 27 summers in Wildwood where he enjoyed his boat and deep-sea fishing. He was also an avid motorcyclist.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Lisa Graul-Oswald of Davidson, NC; son, William J. Graul III and his wife Paula of SC; grandchildren, William J. Graul IV and Derek Oswald; step-daughters, Valerie J. Voltz and her husband Bernard of Effort, PA, Jo Ellen Moll and her partner Tim Conover of Lehigh Acres, FL, Kerrie Jones and her partner Randy Hoffman of Whitehall; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong friend Jim Yeager. Jack was predeceased by his brother Geoffrey Graul.

Services: A celebration of Jack's Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
