William R. Lewers
William R. Lewers, 59, of Allentown, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Ellen M. (Miller) Lewers since October 28, 1972. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William L. and Mrs. Louise M. (Begel) Lewers of Allentown. William worked as service advisor for the former Dick Milham Chevrolet, Bethlehem, 7 years retiring in 1990. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for the former Daniels Cadillac, Allentown, for 13 years. William attended the Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown. He was a former member of the Board of Trustees for Calvary Temple, Allentown, and volunteered as driver for bus ministry. Survivors: Wife; Mother; daughter, Stefanie A. Pawley of Elizabethtown, KY; son, Cory G. and wife Wendy of Lehighton; five grandchildren, Cheyenne, Zachary, Ethan, Brooklynn, and Kenleigh; a great granddaughter, Harleigh; and sister, Jeannette M. wife of Stanley Kost of Coplay. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067. Call, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in funeral home.
